The staff and owners of Athens Family Restaurant are welcoming this holiday season with joyful hearts, enthusiasm, and a positive outlook on 2007, especially as we are celebrating our 2nd anniversary. We would like to take this opportunity to renew our commitment to our customers and sincerely thank every one of you for your constant support over the past two years. We promise to continue to strive to provide you with the best service and the finest Greek dishes we possibly can. We do not, however, want to stop there. We intend to be more involved in and supportive of our community.
As part of our dedication to give back to our community, we are proud to announce “Operation Athens Blood Drive.” After initially considering hosting a blood drive here at our restaurant on Franklin Pike, we have decided to expand our scope in an attempt to make donation more convenient for our friends, family and customers.
The requirement is simple. First, let us know that you plan to participate in Operation Athens Blood Drive. You can do this by calling us at 383-2848, or by completing one of the flyers available at our restaurant. Then, visit a Red Cross blood drive in Davidson County between December 20 and the end of January. We want to produce at least 100 additional donors who otherwise would not have donated during this period to visit blood drives, and we will be happy with more.
Be sure to bring back something from the blood drive that indicates you participated. Whether it is your post-donation instruction sheet, a sticker that says “Be Nice To Me—I Gave Blood,” or a note from one of the Red Cross staff, get something that shows you were there. In appreciation for your desire to help others, Athens Family Restaurant is offering a $10 gift card for each blood drive participant that can be used toward any item on our extensive menu, with no expiration date.
Click here for a list of available blood drives. You can also visit the Red Cross Blood Center at 2201 Charlotte Avenue Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Friday from 7:00AM to 3:00 PM, or Saturday from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Donors can also call 1-800 GIVE LIFE to find a drive, or visit www.tnvalley.redcross.org.
When you give blood you are saving lives. Thank you once again for your loyal patronage. We at Athens Family Restaurant wish you a joyous holiday season and a happy and healthy new year.
Please bring your Red Cross donor card or photo ID. To be eligible to donate blood, you must be healthy, at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, and not have given whole blood in the past 56 days or a double red cell in the last 112 days. There is no upper age limit. You may not give blood if you have received Red Cross notification asking you not to donate.
